Are you ready to experience the luck of the Irish, or at least some exceptional food and beverages in honor of St. Patrick’s Day? Then be sure to place the St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 2014 scheduled for Saturday, March 15 from noon until midnight on your calendar. You’ll be able to enjoy authentic Irish food and beverages, great music, and a sea of vendors that can help jazz up your appearance of green with their St. Patty’s Day accessories.
Ocean Boulevard downtown between 8th and 9th Avenue North will become party central as games and contests invite you to come try your hand at winning a prize for your special someone. There will be an alcohol-free kids zone where the kiddies can take part in their own celebration by playing games and enjoying themselves to their little hearts’ content.

In addition to these outstanding musicians, you can see street performances by the Myrtle Beach Regional Pipe and Drum Band at intervals throughout the day. Be sure to bring your camera and grab some snapshots to share with your friends on Social Media. Parking will be available East of Highway 17 Business in Street Parking Spaces, Private Lots, and at the Pavilion Parking Garage.
If you’d like to add a touch of Europe to liven things up a bit, be sure to meander down to Bumstead’s Pub, one of the event’s sponsors, where you can sample the excellent selection of over 150 brands of domestic and imported beers that are sure to satisfy your thirst. You’ll also find the best wings and burgers to sink your teeth into or try the blackened shrimp or friend mushrooms which are superb. When you want to go “where the locals go,” Bumstead’s is the place to take a break from the activities to grab a few minutes of rest and a cool beverage.
The Myrtle Beach Downtown St. Patrick’s Day Celebration is free and sponsored by some of the leading businesses along the Grand Strand for your enjoyment.
