Can-Am Days Festival
Our area celebrates Canadian-American Days during March of each year by inviting both Canadians and Americans to a festival that includes giveaways, discounts, concerts and many other activities that happen along the Grand Strand. To welcome spring after a harsh winter, you and your loved ones may want to venture out in March to see what all of the excitement is about.
Blue Crab Festival
In the quaint little fishing village of Little River which is just north of North Myrtle Beach, you can attend the Blue Crab Festival in May. Here you’ll find live music, arts and crafts, plenty of fun for the children, and Little River’s most famous dish, the blue crab served up in a variety of ways with plenty of Southern hospitality.
MayFest on Main
This annual festival on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach can help you to jumpstart your summer here along the Grand Strand in style. The Saturday before Mother’s Day is the perfect time for this event that only requires that you bring your own beach chair so that you can sit, relax, and enjoy the live music. You’ll find arts, live music, crafts, food vendors, and a community stage and children’s area that you won’t want to miss.
The Three B’s
Education may have its three R’s but Myrtle Beach hosts the Three B’s to start Labor Day off with excitement and adventure. The Beach, Boogie, and BBQ Festival is a three-day family event that provides free beach music concerts, jet-ski demonstrations, arts and crafts, and food that is superb. You won’t want to miss Saturday’s barbeque competition which puts over 75 pit masters in a competitive cook-off. Oh the aroma that fills the air and the celebratory environment that the beach offers up as fall begins.
Little River Shrimp and Jazz Festival
There’s something to be said about the quality of shrimp here in Myrtle Beach and if you like the relaxing sound of Jazz, what better place to combine the two than at the Little River Festival. In October you’ll enjoy mouth-watering shrimp fixed in a plethora of ways all punctuated with the soothing sounds of Jazz on Columbus Day weekend.
